My
name is Cathy Wearing and I have recently been appointed Chair of Governors
on March 18th, 2008. I have had 6 children go through this school and
one still attending and all have enjoyed/are enjoying their time here.
I felt that I wanted to give something back to the school which is why
I became a governor, and I see my role as a position of service to the
school and the community.
Being
a governor can be very interesting, you find out a lot about the school
as it is now and what may be happening in the future and have a chance
to influence that. I have also spent time at the school listening to the
children read and have found this very rewarding. I live very close to
the school and I love to hear the sound of happy children playing in the
playground during their breaks, which I believe is one of the signs of
a good school.
I
am sure that you would agree that we want our children to be happy and
we can all help by supporting the school as many of you already do.
